If you have 'women's problems' go to Miss Bathula. She is very sympathetic to those problems that most doctors dismiss as unimportant, and she really does listen to what you are saying. I needed minor surgery to enable me to enjoy sex, and had spent 20yrs being fobbed off by other doctors with cream/HRT etc. Miss Bathula immediately understood the problems I was having, came up with a solution and - despite a difficult medical history - carried out a very successful Fenton's procedure under local anaesthetic. It really is not that bad having surgery on your vulva - the most sensitive part of your body - under local. I felt the first two injections but the rest of the procedure was painless and I only needed two doses of painkillers afterwards. The incision healed beautifully, and 6 weeks later I am able to enjoy full penetrative sex again. I highly recommend Miss Bathula for women's genital problems. You can see Miss Bathula privately or - as I did - under the NHS.

I recently had surgery at County Hospital and Miss Bathula was my consultant. I underwent a vaginal hysterectomy and bowl repair. The operation was straight forward and I couldn't believe how well I felt after surgery and the following months. I didnt even feel that I had had surgery on my tummy. The aftercare team were first class, always at the end of the phone to answer any questions. I have now been discharged after my review. 1st class surgeon who is conscientious of her work.

Profile

Start date at the Trust: 01.10.2009. I qualified from one of the premier medical institutes of India, JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research) Pondicherry, South India. I completed my early years of training initially in India then in West midlands. I then trained as a Colposcopist along with Outpatient Hysteroscopy in the West midlands deanery. I subsequently had extensive training in the management of High risk pregnancies in the Wessex deanery. I obtained training in Urogynaecology under the guidance of Mr Constantine at the Good Hope Hospital. During my training, I developed a particular interest in outpatient procedures combined with my Ultrasound scan training has made a major impact in dealing with fast track referrals efficiently. I have a special interest in Medical education as I believe proper training and education today will produce quality doctors for tomorrow. Hence I have taken up the job as RCOG College Tutor recently. I am keen to pursue an active role in providing outpatient services in the coming years as I settle into my post here along with smooth running of patient led Obstetric services where expectant mothers are offered genuine choices in the management of their pregnancy. I provide all these services at Stafford, Cannock & Rowley Hall Hospitals.
